Checks and inspections

This section is devoted to the checks on the electrical system components.

Immobiliser

The electric ignition system is fed with direct cur-

rent and is protected by an antitheft immobilizer

integrated to the control unit.

The ignition system consists of:

- electronic control unit

- immobilizer aerial

- master and service keys with built-in transponder

- H.V. coil

- diagnosis LED

The diagnosis LED also works as a theft deterring

blinker. This function is activated every time the

key switch is turned to «

OFF

», and it remains ac-

tivated for 48 hours so as not to affect the battery

charge.

When the ignition switch is turned to «

», the

deterring blinker function is deactivated. Subse-
