Image Burst

The camera contains an image memory (RAM) of 2 Gbit. A number of images can be stored in
this memory at high speed and the data can later be read out at normal GigE speed. This
feature is called Image Burst. The number of images that can be stored in the memory depends
on the dimension of the output image and on the data resolution. E.g. the memory stores 21
full images at 8 bit data resolution.

Number of images to read out from memory

Maximal number of images that can be
stored in memory with the current settings

Boolean

Indication if memory is full (read only).

ImageBurst_MemoryOverflow

Boolean

Indication if all images could have been
stored in the memory (read only). If this
property is True, then one or more images
were not written to the memory because the
memory was full.

ImageBurst_ImageSendingBusy

Boolean

Indication if the memory is currently read
out. If this propery is True then any new read
request (property

ImageBurst_StartReadMemory

) will be ignored.

ImageBurst_StatusUpdate

Command

Update the ImageBurst status indicators.

Image Burst can be used if you want to the acquire a number of images at high speed and
there is a large time between successive burst acquisitions. In this case there is enough time to
read out the memory at the slower GigE speed between the bursts.

ImageBurst_Enable

must be enabled to be able to store images to the memory. Images are

stored when acquisition is started. When the memory is full, the writing is stopped. The flags

ImageBurst_MemoryFull

and

ImageBurst_MemoryOverflow

indicate the status of writing.
