Select “MODE” from the Menu, on top of the configuration-page. Choose the wanted Operation-Mode amongst the following:
•
SMART ROUTER MODE
The Router will automatically locate the necessary mode, depending on the presence or non-presence of
the LAN-cable. When LAN-cable is connected, the 3G will disconnect and the VM314 will act as an Access-Point. When LAN-cable is not
connected, 3G remains active and the connection will be used for the data-transfer.
•
3G WIRELESS ROUTER MODE The Router ensures the availability of the Internet-Data, wired and wireless, through the 3G-connection.
•
STANDARD WIRELESS ROUTER MODE
This access-Mode allows the functions DHCP, static address, static IP and PPOE/ADSL.
When your Internet-ambient is set on dynamic DHCP input-mode, there is no need to select the access-mode. Simply choose SMART
ROUTER MODE, and the settings will automatically be found.
•
WIRELESS AP CLIENT MODE Wired and wireless connections both become Access Points and the wireless-Interface can connect
with other AP-clients.
