IP addresses
Each Ethernet interface can be reached via a physical IP address.
IP address assignment via DHCP is not supported.
In the delivery state, the preset IP addresses for Ethernet interfaces LAN1, LAN2, and
LAN3.1/3.2 are as follows:
– IP address at LAN1: 192.168.1.10
– IP address at LAN2: 192.168.2.10
– IP address at LAN3.1/LAN3.2: 192.168.3.10
“SingleMode” redundancy
status
If you are operating your application with just one RFC 4072R (“SingleMode” redundancy
status), the preset IP addresses are used as physical IP addresses at the respective Ether
-
net interface.
Please note:
If you later wish to operate your application with two RFC 4072R controllers, the pre
-
set IP addresses at LAN1, LAN2, and LAN3.1/LAN3.2 will be used as system IP ad
-
dresses. The physical IP addresses at the Ethernet interfaces will then be set
automatically, as described in the
section.
Redundancy operation
In redundancy operation, the preset IP addresses are used as the system IP address of the
respective Ethernet interface. The controller that manages the process (PRIMARY control
-
ler) can also be reached via the system IP address of the respective Ethernet interface.
You can
only configure the system IP addresses
of the Ethernet interfaces. The physical
IP addresses of the controllers at the respective interface are set automatically based on the
set system IP address.
