How do I switch my RUSH player on /off?
Switch on the player by pressing and holding the
key until the display shows the RUSH splash
screen. Playback starts automatically. To switch off RUSH make sure you are in a playback mode and
not in any menu display, press and hold the
until the progress bar is full.

My RUSH has no power, or nothing is displayed on the LCD. What's wrong?
•
Your battery may have gone flat; a fresh 1.5V AAA-size battery is required. Also, make sure that
the battery is inserted correctly according to the polarity marked in the battery compartment.
•
You may not have the
key pressed and held long enough. Press and hold
for 5
seconds to see if RUSH powers up.
•
If nothing works, please check out the following recovery steps.
1. Restart your computer.
2. Remove the battery from the battery compartment of RUSH.
3. Hook up the player
4. Press
the
key
WHILE inserting a fresh battery into the player.
5. Continue
holding
for another 5 seconds.
6. The player enters recovery mode. On your PC task tray, click
Start

7. An
Update
screen will pop up. Uncheck the
Quick download
box. Click
Start
to
recover the player.
The recovery application is now correcting your player. Please take care not to interrupt or
unplug the player from computer when the recovering is in progress.
8. Once the recovery process is complete, click on the
Unplug or Eject Hardware
removal
icon on your PC task tray. When you reach the message:
The ‘USB Mass Storage
device’ can now be safely removed from the system,
click
OK
.
For Windows98 users
,
there is no removal icon. Instead, please check your RUSH shows
the
READY
display, before you unplug RUSH.
9. Unplug and reconnect again, the player should now be able to resume operation.
To avoid this problem in fu ure, please avoid unplugging RUSH during installation and always
use a fresh battery when connecting the RUSH to your PC.

On my RUSH the empty battery icon flashes. What’s happening?
The empty battery icon indicates that the battery level is running low. Replace battery as soon as
possible.

My RUSH player turns itself off.
•
RUSH will turn itself off when left in pause mode for a length of time (approx. 60 sec)
•
Battery may be weak (replace battery).
