MPEG4 playback
MPEG4 is a compression standard which allows you to
record movies at up to seven to 10 times smaller than
the MPEG2 standard without compromising on the
picture and sound quality. MPEG4 media can be
saved on a CD-Rom, memory card or DVD disc and
can be played back in selective DVD players, DVD
recorder and Home theater systems.

Component video output
Have the choice to share and view DVDs and digital
movies on a bigger screen. Component video, or
YpbPR, is a top-quality video connection ideal for
connecting DVD players to high-end TVs, displays or
projectors. By providing luminance and color difference
signals separately, interference is prevented. Because
the video signal on the DVD disc is also stored in YPbPr
format, no conversion steps are needed to generate the
output signal. The result is high quality, clear images on
a bigger screen. Just sit back and enjoy!
Progressive scan
Progressive scan doubles the vertical resolution of the
image resulting in a noticeably sharper picture. Instead
of sending a field comprising the odd lines to the
screen first, followed by the field with the even lines,
both fields are written at one time. A full image is
created instantaneously, using the maximum resolution.
At such a speed, your eye perceives a sharper picture
with no line structure.
Native 16:9
The display has a widescreen (16:9) format, thus
offering a wide screen picture, without black bars on
the top and bottom of the picture, at maximum
brightness of the picture.
