GUIDE Plus+™GOLD is an electronic listing of current and future programs
available for your television viewing.
The GUIDE Plus+ system is designed to provide an on screen interactive
program guide for you.
GUIDE Plus+ information is received automatically by your TV through your
Antenna or Cable TV system connections.
Once you have completed the GUIDE Plus+ Setup procedure, daily updates to
the GUIDE Plus+ program data and schedules will take place.

Note: in order to receive the most recent and accurate GUIDE Plus+ system 

program information, your TV must be turned off but remain plugged in (typically 
overnight). Be aware that when the TV is powered on during data acquisition (for 
instance with the OnTimer), the updating of program information is interrupted.
All displays and information contained in the GUIDE Plus+ system are in English.

Before starting up the Setup procedure, be sure you remove the demo pin and
connect the 

IR SHOOTER

cable supplied to the rear of the TV and to the

accessory vcr/cable converters. In this case you can program VCR timer
recordings for selected TV shows through the use of the GUIDE Plus+system
menu screen. See Connect Accessory Devices,VCR/Cable Converter Box, p. 39.

with the cursor right.

Note: If you do not wish to setup GUIDE Plus+, press OK on the remote control.

Note that some features and GUIDE Plus+ functions will not be available if you 
do not setup GUIDE Plus+.

A GUIDE Plus+ window is displayed asking you what you would like to do.

Select with cursor up/down either Setup,View Demo, Options or Exit.
When 

View Demo

is selected, press the OK button, and an interactive on

screen demonstration will start, highlighting all its major features.
This is an excellent way to review and study the operation of this electronic
‘Program Guide’.

When 

Options

is selected, you will be requested to choose between 

Auto

Display On

or 

Off

.

When 

Auto Display On

is selected, the GUIDE Plus+ system screen will appear

every time the TV is turned on with the remote control.
When 

Off

is selected, the last channel you were watching after power off will

appear when you power on again, and you will have to press the 

æ

GUIDE

Plus+ button on the remote control to access the GUIDE Plus+ Program grid.

When 

Exit

is selected, the GUIDE Plus+ Install menu is removed.

When 

Setup

is selected, follow the instructions on screen and confirm, where

necessary, with the OK button. (Referred to as the Select button in the GUIDE
Plus+ info screen.)
You will be asked some simple questions to make sure you receive the correct
program information:Where you live? To enter your local ZIP or Postal code. If
you have cable, a cable box, a VCR...
Use the Setup procedure that matches your Antenna/Cable signal and accessory
devices.
