SOLUTION
Fans run with switched
off DVD recorder:

For the execution of certain procedures the DVD recorder can switch itself on automatically,although no
information is visible on the display. To prevent overheating,the fans at the back will be switched on and off
automatically
This is no fault of your set.
No playback on DVD
recorder:

There is no recording on the HDD/disc: Check the titles from the HDD in the media browser (button

You inserted the wrong disc type: Your recorder can play back the following disc types: DVD Video,
(Super)Video CD,DVD+R(W),Audio CD,,MP3-CD's

You inserted the disc the wrong way: Insert the disc with the label facing upwards

Disc is dirty: Clean the disc
b
Wrong region code: The region code of the DVD and the DVD recorder must match.
b
Parental control is on: Read chapter 'Access control (child lock)'
b
Parental control is on fro titles from the HDD: Read chapter 'Access control (child lock)'
b
You have selected the wrong programme number for the DVD recorder on the TV: on the TV,select the
correct programme number for the DVD recorder.

The cable connecting the TV and the DVD recorder has come loose: check the cable.
Poor playback on DVD

Your TV is not properly adjusted.

Disc is dirty: Clean the disc

Sometimes the picture may be temporarily distorted. This is not a defect of your DVD recorder.
Digital distortions

The low quality of some digital picture material may be the cause of digital image distortion. In this case
change the setting of the sharpness or the picture settings.
If your TV is equipped with a 'Smart picture' function,select the 'Soft' setting,without changing the picture
settings manually.
No recording on the
HDD possible:

The TV channel you want to record is not stored or you selected the wrong programme number: Check TV
channels stored.
b
HDD nearly full and function '
Auto delete
' switched off.
No recording on the a
DVD+RW, DVD+R
possible:

Disc write-protected (recording protected): Remove write-protection or change the disc. For more information,
please see 'Preventing accidental erasing of discs' in chapter 'Manual Recording'.

An already finalised DVD+R has been inserted: Change disc.
Programmed
recording does not
work:
b
You have programmed the wrong time or date: Check time/date.
b
If the time and date are wrong despite setting them by hand,you can switch 'SMART CLOCK' (
Clock
preset
) off. See 'Setting the time/date' in 'Installing your DVD recorder'.
b
You have not set the TIMER properly: Check the programmed recordings (TIMER block).
b
If it is not possible to store the TIMER,check if the HDD is nearly full and the function '
Auto delete
' is
switched off.
b
'VPS/PDC' switched on but 'VPS/PDCtime' wrong: 'Enter 'VPS/PDCtime exactly to the minute. Check the
aerial.
