Whenever
convenient,
use
the
power
supply
if
you
want
to
conser
ve
batter
y
life.
Make
sur
e
you
remove
the
plug
from
the
set
and
wall
outlet
befor
e
inser
ting
batteries.
BA
TTERIES
(OPTIONAL)
1.
Open
the
batter
y
compar
tment
and
inser
t six
batteries,
type
R-20
,
UM-1
or
D-cells
, (pr
eferably
alkaline)
with
the
cor
rect
polarity
as
indicated
by
the
"
+
" and
"
-
" symbols
inside
the
compar
tment.
Remote
contr
ol
Open
the
batter
y
compar
tment
and
inser
t two
batteries,
type
AAA
,
R03
or
UM4
(pr
eferably
alkaline).
2.
Replace
the
compar
tment
door
, making
sur
e
the
batteries
ar
e
fir
mly
and
cor
rectly
in
place.
The
set
is
now
ready
to
operate.
Incor
rect
use
of
batteries
can
cause
electr
olyte
leakage
and
will
cor
rode
the
compar
tment
or
cause
the
batteries
to
burst.
Ther
efor
e:
•
Do
not
mix
batter
y
types:
e.g.
alkaline
with
carbon
zinc.
Only
use
batteries
of
the
same
type
for
the
set.
•
When
inser
ting
new
batteries,
do
not
try
to
mix
old
batteries
with
the
new
ones.
•
Remove
the
batteries
if
the
set
is
not
to
be
used
for
a
long
time.
Using
AC
POWER
1.
Check
if
the
power
voltage
as
shown
on
the
type
plate
on
the
base
of
the
set
, cor
responds
to
your
local
power
supply
.
If
it
does
not,
consult
your
dealer
or
ser
vice
center
.
2.
Connect
the
power
cor
d
to
the
MAINS
inlet
and
the
wall
outlet.
The
power
supply
is
now
connected
and
ready
for
use.
3.
To
switch
of
f completely
, withdraw
the
power
cor
d
from
the
wall
outlet.
–
Disconnect
the
power
cor
d
from
the
wall
outlet
to
pr
otect
your
set
during
heavy
thunderstor
ms.
Batteries
contain
chemical
substances,
so
they
should
be
disposed
of
pr
operly
.
The
type
plate
is
located
on
the
bottom
of
the
set.

Attaching

speakers
Slide
the
speakers
from
above
into
the
sleeves
on
the
sides
of
the
cabinet.
The
speakers
will
click
into
position.
CONNECTING
THE
SPEAKERS
1.
Connect
the
right
speaker
to
the
R
ter
minal,
with
the
red
marked
wir
e
to
"
+
" and
the
black
wir
e
to
"
-
".
2.
Clip
the
exposed
por
tion
of
wir
e
into
the
cor
responding
color
ter
minal.
3.
Repeat
the
wiring
pr
ocedur
e
for
the
left
speaker
to
ter
minal
L,
making
sur
e
that
you
connect
the
red
wir
e
to
"
+
" and
black
to
"
-
".
Note:
–
Speakers
with
an
impedance
of
4
Ohms
or
higher
other
than
as
supplied
may
be
used
instead.
Speakers
with
a
lower
impedance,
however
, ar
e
unsuitable
and
will
damage
your
set.
–
When
headphones
ar
e
inser
ted
into
the
headphone
jack
the
speakers
ar
e
disconnected.

OPERA
