Timer Recording With the VCR Plus+ Programming System (cont’d) 41

• To exit the VCR Plus+ programming

system at any time, press the STA-
TUS/EXIT button. The display will
disappear from the screen.

• To stop a started timer recording,

press the STOP/EJECT button on
the TV/VCR.

Helpful Hints

Press the Number 1 button to record in SP speed or the
Number 2 button to record in SLP speed. Your selection
will appear to the right of REC SPEED on the screen, although
SP=1 SLP=2 will continue to flash. For details about tape speed,
see pages 30 and 64. You cannot use the SPEED button at this
time.

Turn off the TV/VCR for the

recording. Insert a tape in the

TV/VCR. Leave the Cable

Box/DBS on (if applicable).

Press the STATUS/EXIT button. PROGRAM WAS COM-
PLETED / PLEASE TURN OFF FOR TIMER RECORDING will
appear on the screen.

●

If there is not a tape in the TV/VCR, PLEASE INSERT CAS-
SETTE also appears on the screen.

●

If there is a tape without a record tab in the TV/VCR, PLEASE
REMOVE CASSETTE also appears on the screen. If this hap-
pens, insert a different tape.

Press the POWER button to turn off the TV/VCR power.
The Record light will flash slowly if a tape is in the TV/VCR.
If you forget to turn off the TV/VCR, PLEASE TURN OFF FOR
TIMER RECORDING appears on the TV/VCR screen two minutes
before a timer recording starts. The Record light will blink rapidly
until you turn off the power for the recording.
