LED driver dimensions (mm)
Description:
Recessed ceiling mounted emergency LED downlighter for use with static inverter / central battery systems.
3 Hour non-maintained operation only.
Ceiling Cut-Out:
For complete installation from below the ceiling a Ø50mm to Ø55mm max cut out is required to allow the led
driver to pass through. A TYKERDLB extender bezel is required for this installation method. (Extender bezel
is not included. Please order separately). For installation into a suspended ceiling tile a cut out of Ø42mm to
Ø44mm is recommended (the extender bezel is not required).
Void requirements:
A minimum ceiling void of 180mm is required for complete installation from below the ceiling (based on 15mm
ceiling thickness). Voids must be free from obstructions for 300mm in the direction of installation to allow the
gear housing to slide in. Please allow for at least 50mm air gap either side of the gear housing.

Please ensure that the information contained in this leaflet is passed on to the user/maintenance engineer.
Monthly and Annual Tests:
Monthly and Annual tests should be carried out in accordance with: BS EN 50172:2004, 7.2.

Operation and Maintenance:
The emergency system should be checked regularly in accordance to local regulations.
Failed LED's should be replaced promptly or the circuit switched off to avoid possible damage to control gear.
Continual operation at mains voltages in excess of the rated voltage will reduce LED and expected gear life.
This luminaire uses plastic components in its construction and when installed in environments containing
chemicals, degradation may occur. Please contact our Technical Department for advice.
Warranty:
This product is guaranteed for three years and covers faulty workmanship and materials. This “Return to
Base” warranty requires that the product is used within the terms and conditions stated above, in our
literature and on our website. Products returned to us under warranty must be carriage paid.

Modifications:
Philip Payne products should not be modified. Any modification may render the product unsafe and will
invalidate any Safety/Approval marks. Philip Payne will not accept responsibility for any modified products or
for any damage caused as a result of their modification.
Important-Safety:
Before carrying out any servicing on this luminaire, ensure that the mains supply is
fully isolated. When the mains supply is connected, the cover must be pressed back
into place, tight onto cable insulation, to protect from electric shock & provide strain
relief for cable connections.
