Then clip the mains cable into the recess on the rim and position the dome over the
bracket. Twist the dome so that the metal tongues on the bracket engage with the slots
in the dome (fig 2). Make sure that the cable is not kinked or stretched when plugged in.
Secure the cable tidily with clips.
Note – For temporary installation the suction cups can be used instead of the fixing screws,
however they will only adhere to a clean highly polished flat surface such as glass,
Neon Indicators
This extension has two neon indicators. The
Red
neon indicates mains power.
The
Green
neon indicates that surge protection is working.
If the
Red
neon is lit and the
Green
neon is not then your unit has been damaged by a
large or multiple surges and/or spikes and should be replaced.
Surge Protection
Power surges can occur frequently in the home.
The switching on or off of fridges, fluorescent lights, washing machines, tumble driers and
central heating can cause power surges.
Power surges and spikes can seriously damage sensitive electronic equipment. Surges and
spikes can not only damage components but also erase memory and corrupt software on
