Faults – causes and remedy
The information provided in this chapter about possible malfunctions is structured to be
understood by specialists in electrical, electronic or mechanical maintenance.
Appropriate tools and test instruments must be provided to these personnel.
If the specified measures do not prove successful, contact Pfeuffer GmbH.
It is important for all questions to specify the correct type designation, serial number
and year of manufacture. Only in this way will rapid processing be possible.
It is essential to comply with the switch-off procedure before cleaning, maintenance or
repair work! (See
chapter 2.8
Problem

The
default dirt
message (
chapter 8.2
) does
not disappear after the light
barrier has been thoroughly
cleaned.
The laser is no longer in the
correct position.
Perform a laser test (
chapter 8.4
and contact the Pfeuffer GmbH
Count won´t start.
Missing feed container and/or
drawer.
Position a container and/or insert
the drawer.
The count won´t start and the
display shows the message
that no drawer is inserted
(
chapter 7.4.1
), even though a
drawer is inserted.
The magnet at the rear end of
the drawer has fallen off.
Affix the magnets (pos. 1) using
superglue in the necessary place.

When filling with the
CONTAFILL 2, no grains arrive
in the bag or bottle.
The outlet pipe in CONTAFILL 2
is blocked.
Remove the insert from the outlet
pipe, see
chapter 7.5.
When contacting us with complaints or queries, please always quote the software
versions of the various boards of the CONTADOR 2.
The versions can be called up under the
Version
menu item.
