Now that all the parts of the pet fountain have
been rinsed, reassemble the pump and the pet
fountain, leaving only the lid off.
9. Insert the charcoal filter. The filter will
fit between the two triangular slots on
the opposite side of the pump from the
pump plate. Make sure it is pushed all the
way down and that the black side of the
charcoal filter is facing toward the pump.
Replace the charcoal filter every
2–4 weeks.

10. Attach the lid by pressing down until you
hear it snap in place.
Place the pet fountain in a desired location.
Fill the pet fountain by pouring water
directly into the bowl. This will prime
the pump. Leave at least ¼ in. of space
between the water level and the rim of
the bowl.

11. Before you plug in the pet fountain, make
sure the electrical power cord, the power
adaptor and your hands are dry. Connect
the in-line plug and make sure no silver is
showing. Then plug the power adaptor into
a standard electrical wall outlet.
Never let the water level fall below 2 in.
from the base of the bowl or you might
risk pump failure. Add water to the bowl
as needed.
Pet Fountain Cleaning
NOTE:
Replace the carbon filter every 2–4 weeks.
1. Unplug the pet fountain and disconnect the in-line plug.
2. Pick up the pet fountain by the bowl and take it to the sink.
3. Pour out the water and disassemble the pet fountain.
4. Discard the carbon filter. Refer to steps 5–8 on page 6 for cleaning your pump. Use a solution of
80% water and 20% white vinegar to remove hard water buildup.
5. Wash all other parts with warm water and soap or place in the top rack of the dishwasher.
NOTE:
Do not place the adaptor or pump in the dishwasher.
