Before using
Read these instructions carefully. They contain important notes for the
use, safety and maintenance of the appliance.
Keep them in a safe place and transfer them to a possible succeeding
user.
Only use the appliance for the purpose mentioned in these instructions.
The appliance is intended only for private use.
In the case of misuse, wrong handling or incorrect repair no liability will
be taken for possible damages. Claims under guarantee are also
excluded in such cases.
When using follow the safety advice.
Safety advice
Never use or store this appliance near bath tubs, wash-
basins or other receptacles containing water. Danger exists
also when the appliance is switched off. Therefore, always
unplug the appliance when it is not used.
It is recommended to install protection against a possible fault in the
current with a safety device of not more than 30 mA in the circuit of the
bathroom. Please consult your electrician.
This appliance is not meant to be used by persons (including chil-
dren) with reduced physical, sensorial or mental capacities or in ab-
sence of the necessary experience and/or knowledge - unless they are
supervised by a person responsible for their safety and from whom
they get instructions on how to use the appliance.
Keep out of reach from children.
The appliance is suitable for operation from 100 up to 240 Volts
alternating current, without switching over.
Do not use the appliance if:
- the lead is damaged
- the appliance shows signs of damage
- if the appliance has been dropped.
Remove the plug from the mains:
- after each use
- when not in continuous use
- if the unit does not function properly
- before cleaning
The appliance is not to be used when the heating plates are closed!
Never leave the working appliance covered or on a soft cushion or
blanket.
Do not submerge the appliance in water. The appliance should not
come into contact with water during cleaning.
The appliance may only be used on dry hair.
Danger of getting burnt!
Do not apply inflammable lotions, e. g.
hair spray or any liquid for fixation. This might lead to burns when get-
ting in touch with the heating plates!
Do not use on artificial hair.
Warning!
Avoid skin contact with the hot plates as well as the back
housing otherwise you could get burnt!
In order to avoid damages of the cord avoid any contact to the hot
heating plates. Do not unplug by pulling from the cord and do not wrap
the cord around the appliance.
