In order to avoid the wheelchair rolling away, ensure that the wheelchair is
on a level and dry base before releasing the brakes.
Releasing the brakes
The brakes can be released to make it possible to move the wheelchair manually.
1. Switch off the wheelchair by switching off the main power switch.
2. Move the lever forwards (fig. 36). The chair can now be moved manually.
Check regularly, approx. once per month, the brake release function by enga-
ging and disengaging the brake release a number of times. Check to see if chair
actually goes in and out of freewheel by pushing the chair.
NB! Reset the brakes after moving the chair by pulling the lever backwards.
When the brake release has been activated, the wheelchair cannot be driven.
