1. Introduction

This symbol on the device or the package indicates that disposal of the device after its lifecycle
could harm the environment. Do not dispose of the unit (or batteries) as unsorted municipal
waste; it should be taken to a specialized company for recycling. This device should be returned
to your distributor or to a local recycling service. Respect the local environmental rules.

2. Safety Instructions
This appliance is not intended for use by persons (including children) with reduced physical,
sensory or mental capabilities, or lack of experience and knowledge, unless they have been
given supervision or instruction concerning use of the appliance by a person responsible for
their safety.
Children should be supervised to ensure that they do not play with the appliance.
Warning: If the supply cord is damaged, it must be replaced by the manufacturer, its
service agent, or similarly qualified persons in order to avoid any hazard.
Do not use the device when damage to housing or cables is noticed. Do not attempt to
service the device yourself but contact an authorised dealer.
Make sure that the available voltage does not exceed the voltage stated in the
specifications of this manual. Do not use this fan with a speed-control device or a dimmer.
Place the fan on a flat and sturdy surface. Make sure no objects (e.g. curtains) can be
sucked into the rear of the fan.
Do not cover the fan. Do not operate the fan without the grille in place.
Do not leave the device unattended, and keep children and animals away.
Do not place the device on moving vehicles, or in places where it can easily (be) tip(ped)
over.
Never insert fingers or any other object through the grille when the fan is running.
Do not use near inflammable products or in explosive atmospheres.
Indoor use only . Keep this device away from rain, moisture, splashing and dripping
liquids. Never put objects filled with liquid on top of or close to the device.
Do not use the device in the immediate surroundings of a bath, a shower, or a swimming
pool.
Do not operate the device with wet hands.
Disconnect mains power when the device is not in use. Handle the power cord by the plug
only. Keep power cables away from heat, oil and sharp edges.
