Installation Instructions
NOTE:
For systems that do not accept positive voltages, these signals must be
disconnected from the connector.
3.3
Standard Transmitter Assembly
See Figure 3.4
for an illustration of the Standard Transmitter Assembly.
3.3.1 Factory Installed Option
When the RMAS-120 is ordered with a microwave Repeater, the standard alarm
transmitter is installed inside the Repeater cabinet at the factory. However, some
adjustment is required.
See Section 3.3.3
, Field Adjustments
, page 27 for strapping and calibration
instructions for the Transmitter.
3.3.2 Field Installation
To install the Transmitter:
1. Place the Alarm transmitter unit over the studs on the door of the Repeater
cabinet and tighten the unit with flange nuts
—
see Figure 3.5
.
2. Connect the 37-pin connector plug from the Repeater wiring harness to the
connector marked REPEATER CONNECTOR on the transmitter.
NOTE
:
Some microwave Repeater models have a different type of connector.
For such Repeaters a special adapter connector is provided to permit interface to
the 37-pin connector on the transmitter unit.
3. Connect the coaxial cables (1 through 8, depending on the system ordered)
from the Repeater wiring harness to the SMB-connectors marked RF
POWER MONITOR INPUT on the transmitter.
NOTE
:
Some microwave Repeater models have BNC connectors instead of
SMB connectors. For such Repeaters, an adapter plate is provided which allows
conversion from BNC to SMB type.
