 Keep upper locking lever facing towards outside of 

circle.

 Loosen handle.

 Adjust upper arm so receiving plate is at a 15-20° 

angle. Tighten to mounting surface.

 Lock handle.

 Locate ladder locking pin.

 Pull pin and rotate a quarter turn to hold open.

 Slide ladder stud plate onto circle receiving plate.

 Rotate ladder locking pin a quarter turn back into 

locked position.

 For additional safety and stability, insert ice screws in 

the ice screw holes.

 For ease of raising and lowering ladder, insert a utility 

rope through back hole and tie to front hole.

27)

 Run rope through upper grip loop and anchor away 

from for entry point.

28)

 Leave enough slack to allow for lowering and raising 

of ladder.

29) 

Enter and exit water as needed. Use rope to assist in 

raising and lowering lower ladder section.

 Using handle on circle rotate circle so bottom grip 

touches underside of mounting surface.
