The illustration shows the VM1000 Video Rack with input cards installed into slots 1 to 10 and with no
input cards in slots 11 to 16.
The video inputs are numbered from top to bottom on each input card and from left to right across all
installed input cards.
Depending on the type of input card, there are 16 inputs per input card with loop-through capability
(VME1000/16) or 32 inputs per input card without loop-through capability (VME1000/32). The maximum
capacity is 256 inputs with 16 input cards of type VME1000/16 and 512 inputs with 16 input cards of
type VME1000/32.
Before installing additional input cards, regard the address DIP-switches. For the left-most input card,
the DIP-switch normally is set to "0". For each further input card, the address must be increased by 1
for the VME1000/16 type and by 2 for the VME1000/32 type. For detailed information refer to the re-
spective input-card manual.
"SIMATRIX SYS"-type input cards are not suited for installation into the VM1000 Video Racks.
