Operation
.
1.
Set the desired engine speed by rotating the speed knob on the machine. To the left = Low (1), to the right =
high (6) (Fig 1)
2.
While holding the surface conditioning tool with two hands, press the on-off switch with your index finger
(Fig 1). IMPORTANT NOTE: The built in soft-start-function will cause a slight delay in the engine start and
will then gradually increase the speed. This feature is designed to eliminate the possibility of the tool “pul
-
ling” at startup.
3.
For long-time use, lock the on-off switch in position On. To lock the on-off switch in on-mode, press the on-
off switch and hold the lock button above the power switch on the side of the handle. To release, press the
on-off button (fig 1).
4.
Hold the wide surface on the drum parallel with the surface you are working on to minimize uneven wear.
5.
Always use two hands when you are using the tool.
6.
Make sure the tool is clamped or secured to always allow two hands to use the tool. NOTE! Only use a
speed fast enough to remove coats and keep the wheel turning. Too high speed heats the meal considera-
bly.
