Settings Menu

Options

On: 

 

PIN entry required at phone start-up.

 

 

This setting is saved to the SIM card.

Off: 

 

PIN entry not required.

 

 

This setting is saved to the SIM card.

 

 

This setting is not supported by all SIM cards due to security risks.

Automatic: 

The PIN entry at start-up is done by the PTCarPhone automatically.

 

 

On the SIM card, the PIN code request setting is set to 

On

. 

Changing the Security Codes 

The PIN on the SIM card and the device code can be changed individually.  
See also “Changing the Security Codes” on page

NOTE

: 

Security codes cannot be changed without the current code. 

Automatic Network Selection

The default Automatic setting in the Network menu is generally recommended when selecting a mobile phone 
network manually is not required.

Settings > Network > Automatic

 to enable this feature.

Disabled

: 

This feature is disabled by selecting a mobile phone network in the “select from list” menu.

Selecting a Mobile Phone Network

When close to national borders, it might be necessary to select a fixed mobile phone network to prevent the oc

-

currence of roaming charges for calls over foreign mobile phone networks.

When 

Select from list

 is selected, the PTCarPhone searches for available mobile phone networks. Networks 

marked with a green mark

can be selected, networks marked with a red mark

cannot.

Settings > Network > Select from list
