Installing the USB-driver 

 
*  Connect the delivered USB-interface cable to a free USB-port at 

your PC and your PeakTech

® 

5040. 

*  After connection, windows will find new devices: 

CP2101 USB to UART Bridge Controller 
CP2101 USB Composite Device 

*  Windows  needs  the  corresponding  USB-drivers  to  fulfil  the 

installation. 

 

*  You will find the USB-drivers on the delivered software-cd 
*  Follow the steps on screen 
 

Installing the software 

 
*  Start windows 
*  Insert the CD into the CD/DVD-drive. 
*  The CD provides with Auto-Start and run the installation program 

automatically.  If  the  Auto-Start  doesn’t  run,  execute  the 
Installation  manual.  START 

  Run 

  D:\SETUP.EXE  (If  D.  is 

your CD-ROM-drive) 

*  Follow the steps on screen and finish the installation. 
 

Potential malfunctions during humidity measuring: 

 

*   Do not measure humidity under sun. 
*   Do  not  measure  humidity  in  extremely  high  or  low    
 

temperature or humidity. 

*   Do  not  measure  humidity  in  an  environment  with  excessive    

sands or dusts. 

*   Humidity  sensor  should  make  no  contact  with  water  or      liquid 

(dry humidity sensor with blow dryer immediately if it    has made 
a contact with water or liquid). 

*   Do not take humidity in an environment with severe   temperature 

change.
