3.2.7 Display backlight: 
 
The display backlight can be manually turned on and off at any 
time. To activate the display backlight press the backlight button. 
 
3.2.8 Automatic shutdown: 
 
The thermo - hygrometer has an automatic switch - off, which shuts 
off the device after about 10 minutes. This automatic switch-off can 
be deactivated at any time by pressing the HOLD button while the 
device is switched on. The display will show "AUPdis". You can 
activate the automatic switch-off after switching the device on

The symbol in the lower left corner indicates that the automatic
