4. Operation
4.1. Preparation Prior to Test
1. Before test, insert the output plug of the supplied power cord into the
power input socket on the tester, then plug this power cord into a
standard power socket ( wall outlet ).
2. Turn on the tester with the power switch on the tester. The tester's
display turns on and then shows the present output voltage. The tester's
output voltage is de voltage, and the unit of display reading is always V
( volt ). Usually, the initial output voltage is about 170V. Wait about 10
secs, the output voltage will start to increase slowly to about 300V. When
the output voltage remains stable, the tester is ready for test.
3. Insert a plug of the supplied black test lead into the jack of the supplied
black test probe, then insert the other plug of this black test lead into the
" - "jack on the tester. ( The jack of test probe is located in its protective
sleeve. ) Use the same methode to connect the supplied red test lead to
the supplied red test probe and the " + "jack on the tester. Make sure
that all the connections are firm.
