roubleshooting
You pick up hum
and noise on your
Peachtree220
This is rare but when it happens it is usually due to
grounding problems. Do some trial and error tests with
the system. See if the noise goes away when certain
sources, like a computer, are unplugged from your preamp.
Try plugging your Peachtree220 and preamplifier in to
the same AC fixture. Please feel free to call Peachtree
service if the problem persists.
You’re getting no sound
through the balanced XLR
input
Be sure you have the switch on the back panel set to
balanced XLR.
The Peachtree220 shuts
down, then automatically
begins playing again after
a while
The Peachtree220 amplifiers have built in thermal/
distortion detection and will shut down before blowing the
amps. When they cool down they will turn back on. If the
amps do this when playing at a low volume you may have a
short in your speaker wires.
The Peachtree220
will not turn on
Check to be sure that both the power switch on the back
panel and the standby switch on the front panel are on. The
front panel light should be blue. It is green when in standby.
Be sure your AC plug is properly connected to an active
AC outlet.
The Peachtree220
turns on but there is
no sound
Be sure your system is not muted. Check the RCA/
XLR switch on the back panel to be sure the correct
input has been selected. Make sure your speaker wires
are properly connected to both the Peachtree220 and
the speakers.
