4. Measurements
Conduct the measurements of moisture contents of waste paper following these steps:
•
take the device out of its case and remove the protective cap,
•
connect the device with the electrode using the wire provided,
•
turn the power on,
•
slide the electrode into the waste paper (if it’s compressed) or firmly press the electrode against
a single piece of waste paper,
•
read the result,
•
repeat the measurement with at least 3 randomly selected samples,
•
the final result is an average of all the measurements,
•
turn the power off.
WARNING:
The measuring range of the device is 6% - 30%. Moisture contents below 6% is indicated as „LO”.
Results over 30% should be considered as rough estimates.
5. Changing the battery and storage
The device is equipped with a power level control circuit. When the power drops below acceptable level a sign ”LO BAT”
appears on the left side of the LCD. This indicates that the battery has expired and should be replaced with a new one.
To replace the battery unscrew the screw on the back of the instrument and carefully remove the back panel. Store the
device in a dry place.
