
i.e. 777 should show as registered on the 3CX Phone System Line Status.
11. Make some calls from a sip phone registered on 3CX to the M-ATA FAX extension and vice
versa from the Fax machine (which is now a “SIP PHONE”) to the extension to make sure that
you have both way audio and that functionality is as expected.
12. At this point you can proceed to test Fax sending functionality. Send a fax from the fax
machine to a destination of your choice. Remember to insert the outbound and maybe inbound
rule of the gateway you want to send the outbound fax from or receive faxes.
Congratulations - You are now able to send faxes using a traditional Fax Machine connected to a
Patton M-ATA.
Notes:
There are reported situations where DTMF will not work as expected when the caller is reaching
the PBX via a VOIP Provider. It may be necessary to tweak the MATA as follows;
