The G.SHDSL NTU includes an internal Bit Error Rate Tester (BERT) for complete testing of local and remote modem

and the link quality without any need for external test equipment. This built-in Bit Error Rate Test generator can

generates a standard 2047 (2

-1) test pattern (Pseudorandom test pattern, 2047 bits in length).
