SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS

WARNING! When using electric gar-
den tools basic safety precautions,
should always be followed to re-
duce the risk of fire, electric shock
and personal injury.
GENERAL
a) Become familiar with the instruc-
tion manual before attempting to
operate this machine.
b) Do not allow children to operate
this equipment. Local regulations
may restrict the age of the opera-
tor. When not in use store the ma-
chine out of reach of children.
c) This machine is not intended for
use by persons (including chil-
dren) with reduced physical, sen-
sory or mental capabilities, or lack
of experience and knowledge,
unless they have been given su-
pervision or instruction concern-
ing use of the machine by a per-
son responsible for their safety.
Children should be supervised to
ensure that they do not play with
the machine.
d) Before switching on the appli-
ance, it must be assembled ac-
cording to the original instruc-
tions.
e) It is recommended to use a Re-
sidual Current Device (RCD) with
a tripping current of not more
than 30 mA. Before use, always
check your RCD for function.
f) Only use extension cables that
comply with H07VV-F or H07RN-F
types and which are intended for
outdoor use and are protected
against splashes of water.
g) Do not connect a damaged cord
to the supply or touch a damaged
cord before it is disconnected
from supply. A damaged cord
can lead to be contacted with live
parts.
h) Do not touch the plug or socket
with wet hands.
PREPARATION
a) Do not operate this equipment in
the vicinity of bystanders.
b)
Other persons and animals
should remain at a distance of 3
metres or more when the appli-
ance is being used. The operator
is responsible for third persons in
the working area.
c)
Before starting the machine,
check that all screws, nuts, bolts
and other fasteners are prop-
erly secured and that guards and
screens are in place.
d) Replace damaged or unreadable
warning and operating labels.
e) Avoid wearing loose-fitting cloth-
ing, hanging cords or ties.
f) Only operate the machine in open
space (e.g. not close to a wall or
other fixed object) and on a firm,
level surface.
g) Do not operate the machine on
a paved or gravel surface where
ejected material could cause in-
jury.
h) Check if guards and protec-
tive devices are undamaged and
properly mounted. Before using,
carry out any necessary mainte-
nance and repairs.
