Wear protective glasses or goggles.
c) Thoroughly inspect the area where
the garden power tool is to be used and
remove all objects which can be thrown
by the garden power tool.
d) Before using the garden power tool
and after any impact, check for signs of
wear or damage and repair as
necessary.
e) Never operate the garden power tool
with damaged guards or without the
guards in place.
f) Keep hands and feet away from the
cutting means at all times and especially
when switching on the motor.
g) Never allow children or people
unfamiliar with the instructions to use the
garden power tool.
h) Stop using the garden power tool
while people, especially children, or pets
are nearby.
i) Only use the garden power tool in
daylight or good artificial light.
j) Stop the engine before
k) cleaning or when clearing a blockage,
l) checking, carrying out maintenance or
working on the garden power tool,
m) adjusting the working position of the
cutting device,
n)leaving the garden power tool
unattended.
o) Ensure that the garden power tool is
correctly located in a designated working
position before starting the engine.

position is safe and secure.

with a damaged or excessively worn
cutting device.
r) To reduce fire hazards, keep the
engine and silencer free of debris,
leaves and excessive lubricant.
s) Always ensure that all handles and
guards are fitted when using the garden
power tool. Never attempt to use an
incomplete garden power tool or one
fitted with an unauthorised modification.
t) Always use two hands to operate a
garden power tool fitted with two
handles.
u) Always be aware of your surroundings
and stay alert for possible hazards of
which you may not be aware due to the
noise of the garden power tool.
v) Take care against injury from any
device fitted for trimming the filament
line length. After extending new cutter
line always return the garden power tool
to its normal operating position before
switching on.
w) Always ensure that ventilation
openings are kept clear of debris.
4) Maintenance and storage
a) When the garden power tool is
stopped for servicing, inspection or
storage, shut off the power source,
disconnect the spark plug wire from the
spark plug and make sure all moving
parts have come to a stop. Allow the
garden power tool to cool before making
any inspections, adjustments, etc.
