With handles
Fasten the handles to the threaded brass inserts on the top of the
platform. With the handles, you can hold the platform against a wall
to measure horizontal pushing force.

Note: The handles can't measure the Parallel Force.

Use the holes on the top of the platform to hang from strings tied to a
pair of bolts on a wall. All four feet must be in contact with the wall to
measure force accurately.
Warning:
Warning: Attach the bolts to wall studs or drywall anchors that
can support the weight of the platform. Use string rated to support
the weight of the platform.

When used exclusively for educational purposes, all PASCO Force Platforms (PS-3229,
PS-3230, PS-2141, & PS-2142) fall under PASCO’s 5-Year Warranty (see
pasco.com/p/warranty-and-returns
pasco.com/p/warranty-and-returns). If used for athletic-related diagnostics and/or training (a
non-educational application), all PASCO force platforms carry a limited warranty of 1 year
from delivery date against defects in material and workmanship. This limited warranty does
not apply to any PASCO Force Platforms subject to accident, misuse, neglect, fire, or other
external damage. PASCO products are designed for educational use only in K-12 schools,
Colleges, and Universities; they are not intended for use in graduate research where higher
degrees of accuracy and durability are required or for industrial use. They should not be used
in any apparatus involved with life support, patient diagnosis, or industrial control. Unless

battery used in this product is marked with the European Union symbol for waste batteries to
indicate the need for the separate collection and recycling of batteries.
