Working with the hedge trimmer
Use of the machine
NOTE
► Please note that legal restrictions in your
country may limit your use of the hedge
trimmer.
► Inspect the hedge trimmer daily before every
use. Also check the appliance after knocks
and drops to identify any significant damage
or defects.
► Wear sturdy shoes and snug-fitting clothing to
reduce the risk of accidents. Stand firmly on
the ground, pay attention to your balance
and always use the supplied shoulder strap!
► For the sake of your health, take regular
breaks while working. Physical fatigue
increases the risk of injury!
WARNING!
► Never use the appliance when you are tired
or ill or under the influence of alcohol or
other drugs or medications.
Cutting techniques
■ See fold-out page (figure A).
NOTE
► Remove thicker branches with a branch cutter.
Transport
■ Use the blade guard

when transporting
the appliance.
■ Ensure that the appliance cannot switch on
during transport.
Maintenance and cleaning
■ The motor unit must always be kept clean, dry
and free from oil or grease.
■ The hedge trimmer must be cleaned of sawdust
at regular intervals.
♦ Use a soft, dry cloth to clean the housing.
♦ Check the hedge trimmer for loose screws on
the cutter bar

and tighten them if necessary.
♦ Remove stuck cuttings.
♦ Maintain the cutter bar

using a spray oil or
an oil can.
Storage
■ Always clean the appliance thoroughly before
storing.
■ Store the appliance in the supplied blade
guard

in a dry place and out of the reach
of children.
■ Store the appliance horizontally or secured
against falling.
