Switch the appliance on and only then move it
towards the material to be worked.
♦
Switch the appliance off immediately if the saw
blade jams.
Open up the sawn gap using a suitable tool
and pull out the sabre saw.

Adapt the saw blade and stroke rate to the
material to be worked.
■
Optimised saw blades in different lengths
are available from a retail store to suit every
intended purpose.
■
Saw the material at a constant speed.
Sawing flush:
The flexible saw blades and suitable corresponding
length, enable you to saw off protruding workpieces
such as pipes which are close to the wall.
For this, proceed as follows:
1. Place the saw blade directly against the wall.
2. Bend it by applying lateral pressure to the sabre
saw so that the footplate makes contact with
the wall.
3. Switch the appliance on as described and saw
off the work piece by applying constant pressure.
Plunge sawing:
CAUTION! RISK OF KICKBACK!

Plunge cuts may only be made in soft materi-
als (wood or similar).
Proceed as follows:
1. Place the sabre saw with the lower edge of the
footplate onto the workpiece. Switch the
appliance on.
2. Tilt the sabre saw forwards and plunge the saw
blade into the workpiece.
3. Position the sabre saw vertically and continue
sawing along the cutting line.
NOTE
►
The saw blade to be used should not exceed
a max. length of 152 mm!
Maintenance and cleaning
WARNING! RISK OF INJURY! Always
switch the appliance off before
carrying out any work on it.

Always remove the power plug from the power
socket before cleaning the appliance.
■
Replace the saw blade as soon as its teeth are
blunt and proper sawing is therefore no longer
possible.
■
Keep the appliance and ventilation slits clean at
all times. If the ventilation slits are blocked, there
is the risk of overheating and / or the appliance
being damaged.
■
Always clean the appliance after completion
of work.
■
Never permit fluids to penetrate inside the appli-
ance. Use a cloth to clean the housing. Never
use petrol, solvents or cleansers which can
damage plastic.
■
Clean the saw blade mount, if necessary with a
brush or by blowing it out with compressed air.
