Appliance-specific safety guidelines
for cordless ratchets
■
Hold the appliance using the insulated handle
areas if you are carry out any work during
which the attached tool could
contact hidden
power cables.
Contact with a live cable may
also cause metal parts of the appliance to
become live and may result in an electric shock.
■
Secure the workpiece.
A workpiece securely
held by a clamping device or vice is much safer
than one held in your hand.
■
Hold the power tool firmly.
High reaction
moments can occur for short periods while
tightening and loosening bolts.
■
Switch the power off immediately if the tool
being used blocks.
Always be prepared for
high reaction moments which can cause kickback.
■
While maintenance the appliance, always
remove the battery pack of the appliance.
This prevents the power tool from starting up
unintentionally.
■
CAUTION, POWER CABLES! DANGER!
Ensure that you are not likely to contact power,
gas or water supply lines when you are working
with the power tool.

Use only the additional equipment and acces-
sories specified in the operating instructions.
Using attachments or accessory tools other than
those recommended in the operating instructions
can lead to a risk of injury.
Before first use
Removing/charging/inserting the
battery pack
NOTE
►
The battery is supplied partially charged.
Before first use, charge the battery in the
charger for at least 1 hour. This guarantees
full battery power. You can charge the lithium-
ion battery at any time without shortening its
service life. Interrupting the charging process
does not damage the battery.
CAUTION!
►
Always unplug the appliance before you
remove the battery pack from or connect the
battery pack to the charger.

Never charge the battery pack when the
ambient temperature is below 10°C or above
40°C.

To remove the battery pack, press the release
button and pull the battery pack out of
the appliance.
♦
Insert the battery pack into the high-speed
charger .
♦
Insert the mains plug into the mains power
socket. The control LED will light up red.
♦
The green charging status indicator LED shows
you when the charging process is complete and
the battery pack is ready for operation.
♦
Insert the battery pack back into the appliance.
■
Never recharge a battery pack again immediately
after rapid charging. This could overcharge the
battery pack, thus reducing the lifespan of the
battery and charger.
♦
You should always switch the high-speed charger
off for at least 15 minutes between succes-
sive charging processes. Simply disconnect the
power plug from the mains power socket.
