Before use
Removing/charging/inserting the
battery pack
CAUTION!
► Always unplug the appliance before you
remove the battery pack from or connect
the battery pack to the charger.
NOTE
► The battery is supplied partially charged.
Before first use, charge the battery in the
charger for at least 1 hour. This guarantees
full battery performance. You can charge the
lithium-ion battery at any time without short-
ening its service life. Interrupting the charging
process does not damage the battery.
■ Never charge the battery pack if the am-
bient temperature is below 10°C or above
40°C.
1. To remove the battery pack , press the release
button and pull the battery pack out of the
appliance.
2. Insert the battery pack into the high-speed
charger .
3. Insert the mains plug into the socket. The control
LED lights up red.
4. The green charge status indicator LED indi-
cates that the charging process is complete and
the battery pack is ready.
5. Insert the battery pack back into the appliance.
Checking the battery charge level
If the appliance is switched on, the charge level will
be shown on the battery LED as follows:
RED/ORANGE/GREEN = maximum charge
RED/ORANGE = medium charge
RED = low charge – charge the battery
Switching the hammer function on/
off
CAUTION!
► Operate the hammer function switch only
when the appliance is at a standstill. Other-
wise the appliance can be damaged.
Switching the hammer function on:
♦ Move the hammer function switch into the
position to activate the hammer function.
Switching the hammer function off:
♦ Move the hammer function switch into the
position to deactivate the hammer function.
2-speed gearbox
CAUTION!
► Operate the speed selection switch only
when the appliance is at a standstill. Other-
wise the appliance can be damaged.
No hammer function
In first gear (speed selector switch in posi-
tion: 1)
you can reach a speed of approx. 400 rpm and a
low torque. This setting is suitable for all screwing
jobs.
No hammer function
In second gear (speed selector switch in
position: 2)
you can reach a speed of approx. 2200 rpm for
carrying out drilling work.
With hammer function
In first gear (speed selector switch in posi-
tion: 1)
you can reach a speed of approx. 600 rpm and a
high torque. This setting is suitable for all screwing
jobs.
