PROBLEM

PROBABLE CAUSE

CORRECTION

Engine will not
start.

1. No gas in the fuel tank.

2. Fuel shut-off valve closed.
3. Engine switch is in the

OFF position.

4. Build up of dirt and

residue around
governor/carburetor.

1. Fill tank with clean, fresh gasoline.

2. Open fuel shut-off valve.
3. Turn the engine switch to ON

position.

4. Clean area around

governor/carburetor.

Engine runs briefly
and stops.

1. Fuel shut-off valve closed.
2. Contaminated fuel supply.

2. Replace with clean fuel.
