PORTABLE PA SYSTEM
BATTERY CARE
Congratulations on the purchase of your Parallel Audio portable PA system.
To maximise the life of the built in, re-chargeable batteries in this unit
please follow these instructions:
1. Charge unit for 10 hours before first use.
2. After PA has been used for a period of time it may naturally shut down as the batteries
become flat and require recharging. Do not continually reset the on/off switch as this will
cause permanent damage to the batteries. Re-charge PA for minimum 10 hours ASAP!
3. Do not store the portable PA system with discharged batteries (eg. Over school holidays,
etc). Always make sure the batteries are fully recharged before leaving for school holidays
or extended periods and then recharge fully once again before use of the portable PA. If
batteries have been fully drained, recharge as soon as possible!
4. The PA system may be recharged even after only a short usage; batteries do not need to be
completely flat before recharging – they have no memory effect.
5. To prolong battery life, always switch the PA off when not in use.
6. The batteries naturally discharge even without use of the PA, like a car battery! For best
results and in order to maximise the life span of the batteries, recharge the portable PA
every month, even when it has not been used.
7. We do not recommend leaving the PA on charge for more than 24 hours.
8. The battery manufacturer warrants the batteries for only 3 months from original purchase
date. Damage to batteries after this time will not be covered by warranty.
9. The average lifespan of the batteries is around 1 to 2 years. The user is advised that a
change of batteries may be required within this time.
