OPERATION REQUIREMENTS

 

 

Note:  

First, verify that the surface that the Panther Hawk Safety Cart will be installed 

onto is capable of supporting the product and personnel using it.  A complete 
assessment of the entire surrounding areas should be made to determine if the 
working surfaces have the strength and structural integrity to support users safely. 
 
1 (one) workers can be rigged for fall arrest with up to 2 (two) additional workers 
rigged for fall restraint.  The total number of workers attached to the Panther Hawk 
Safety Cart shall not exceed 3 (three).  The workers connected shall have a combined 
weight (person, clothing, tools, etc.) of no more than 310 lbs per person.   
 
Position the Panther Hawk Safety Cart a minimum of 15 feet from the leading edge of 
the roof or opening.  Make sure the ring connector plate is pointing toward the leading 
edge and the cart is set to travel parallel to the leading edge.  Set rear brake by 
rotating brake handles to locked (downward) position.  The working area is a 90

COUNTERWEIGHTS 
 

Place 6 (six) of the 50 lb. counterweights on the mounting brackets on the opposite 
side of the fall arrest ring, or the side farthest from the roof edge. 
 
Place 2 (two) of the 45 lb. counterweights, (with large holes cut out of sides) on the 
mounting brackets on the same side as the fall arrest ring, or the side closest to the 
roof edge.  Make sure that with the counterweights installed, the Fall Arrest Connector 
Plate and Eye-Bolt are visible and unobstructed. 

 
 

WARNING: DO NOT USE HAWK SAFETY CART  WITHOUT 

ALL EIGHT (8) COUNTERWEIGHTS  INSTALLED!
