Troubleshooting
If the following symbols flash on the Display Window, carry out the respective solution provided in the table
below.
The screen does not
advance when the Copy
Key or Advance Key is
pressed.
Static electricity was generated when the screen film was wiped.
Unplug the unit, then manually move the screen film slowly to the
left.

Remaining Film Indicator
flashes.
The time to replace the thermal transfer film is approaching. (Only
about 15 more sheets may be copied.)
Prepare a new replacement film (UG-6001).
The USB flash memory
device is not recognized.
USB flash memory devices equipped with features such as a security
function or hub function cannot be used with this unit.
For information on conditions that make USB flash memory
devices incompatible with the unit and a list of checked USB flash
memory devices, refer to the following site.

The USB flash memory device is connected via a USB hub.
Do not connect via a USB hub.

It takes a long time for the
unit to recognize the USB
flash memory device.
The USB flash memory device has not been used since it was
formatted using FAT32.
Once a file has been written, subsequent operations will be
performed much more quickly.

The computer does not
recognize this unit.
Confirm that the USB cable is properly connected on both sides or
put the unit into standby mode.
This unit is connected via a USB hub.
Do not connect via a USB hub.

The USB cable connected to the unit is damaged.
Replace with another USB cable, and check the connections.
The image file is not
displayed after copying to
a computer.
With Windows XP, open the Removable Disk displayed on the
computer screen, and click [Refresh] from the [View] in the Windows
Explorer window.
With Windows Vista, Windows 7 and Windows 8, click on the
[Refresh] button.
