You can control the power consumption of the computer by setting the CPU perfor-
mance separately for “AC adaptor connected” and “AC adaptor disconnected (i.e., run-
ning on batteries).” Select either [Battery Optimized Performance], [Automatic]*, or [Maxi-
mum Performance].
* If [Automatic] is selected, the CPU performance is automatically maximized only when neces-
sary. (In contrast, if [Maximum Performance] is selected, the CPU performance is maximized at
all times.)
