Past recording function (PRE-RECORD)
To set the past recording to ON:
• Press [ g STOP/RETURN] to stop the unit.

Press [MENU].

Press +, – to select “MIC REC MENU”
and press [
q OK] to enter.

Press +, – to select
“PRE-RECORD” and press
[
q OK] to enter.

Press +, – to select “ON”
and press [
q OK] to enter.
(The factory setting is “OFF”.)
To exit the setting screen, press [F2 (CLOSE)].
To record using the past recording function:
When recording mode is PCM, the past recording
function does not operate.
• Set the recording mode to MP3. ( ➜ page 20)
• Press [ g STOP/RETURN] to stop the unit.

Press and hold [ * REC] for 1 second or more.
The unit enters the past recording
standby mode.
Changes to 1 sec, 2sec, 3 sec, 4
sec, 5 sec and stops at 5 sec. The
microphone audio data approx.
5 seconds before recording are
always updated and the unit is on
standby.

Press [ * REC].
The recording indicator lights, and recording is started
continuing directly after the preserved audio data.
To stop: Press [ g STOP/RETURN]
* The sound that occurs when the recording button is
pressed is also recorded. (When the built-in microphone
is used, etc.)

When the recording level adjustment (
➜
page 22) is set
to MANUAL, the unit enters the past recording standby
and recording standby at the same time.
* When the unit enters the standby state again after the
past recording standby screen is canceled on the menu
or by stop operation, audio data is freshly-stored from
that point.
* When recording is paused, the past recording function
does not operate.
* If the recording remaining time is less than 10 seconds,
the past recording function does not operate.
If you start recording from the standby state of the past recording function, recording can be started with
the audio approx. 5 seconds before the recording operation.
