Press the button repeatedly to extend the switch-off time from 30 to 60, 120, 180
or 240 minutes. The timer setting appears on the VCR display.
Limiting the recording and playback time
CVC Super - Crystal View Control Super
The CVC function provides a picture of perfect quality. The picture
is automatically rendered as clear and sharp as possible.
S-VHS cassette playback
(SQPB=S-VHS Quasi Playback)
You can play cassettes that were recorded on a S-VHS VCR.
• The quality of the picture will be that of a VHS recording.
• You cannot make S-VHS recordings on this VCR
Playing back NTSC video cassettes
(NV-VP30)
You can play NTSC video cassette for viewing on a PAL-type
TV set (PAL 60). You cannot record on or copy video cassettes
to NTSC-format cassettes.
Automatic Playback
Insert a cassette whose protection tab has been removed and
the VCR will automatically start playback. You do not have to
press
PLAY
.
Auto-Start
Inserting a video cassette will automatically switch on the VCR.
Playback in standby mode
Insert a cassette and press the
PLAY
button to switch on the
unit and start playing the tape.
Automatic Rewind
When the tape gets to its end, the VCR will automatically wind
it back to its beginning.
(This function is not available when playing timer programmes.)
Automatic switch-off after eject
If the VCR is in standby mode, you can press the
EJECT
button
to remove the cassette.
The VCR will return to standby mode

Auto Stop
To protect the video heads, the unit automatically quits
the Forward/Backward Search, JET SEARCH, Still Playback
and Slow Playback functions after 5-10 minutes.
Interference and motor noise are not indicative of a malfunction.
