Illuminates lamp when dark to facilitate focus alignment.

 •The AF Assist Lamp has an effective distance of 1.5 m (4.9 feet).

Lamp illuminated with halfway press of shutter button ([

Lamp is not illuminated. (taking pictures of animals in the dark, etc.)

Do not block the lamp with your fingers or look at it from close range.

A vignetting effect may appear on the circumference of the AF Assist Lamp because 

the AF Assist Lamp may be obscured by the lens, however, this does not cause a 

problem with the performance of the camera.

 

●

The setting is fixed to [OFF] in the following cases.
