You can take high-quality pictures of such subjects as people, scenery, sporting events
and activities, people in night scenes and flowers in accordance with the surrounding
conditions.
Set the mode dial.
Press

to select the Advanced Scene Mode.

If you press [DISPLAY] when selecting an Advanced Scene
Mode, explanations about each Advanced Scene Mode are
displayed.
Press [MENU/SET] to set.

Technique for Portrait Mode
To make this mode more effective:

Rotate the zoom lever as far as possible to Tele.

Move close to the subject to make this mode more effective.

Shutter speed may slow down up to 1 second in [INDOOR PORTRAIT].
•
When [SOFT SKIN] is selected, if a part of the background etc. is a color close to skin color,
this part is also smoothed.
•
When [SOFT SKIN] is selected, this mode may not be effective when there is insufficient
brightness.
