Programming Guide

Timed Reminder Setting

(Available with DPT Integration only.) Enables subscribers or the Message Manager to receive an 
alarm at their telephone to remind them of a meeting, appointment or as a wake-up call. The alarm 
can occur either 1 time or daily at a preset time.

Toll Saver

Is a cost-saving feature that allows a subscriber to check his or her mailbox from a preprogrammed 
DID/Caller ID number or the telephone number specified to the preprogrammed trunk number without 
necessarily making the VPS answer the call. Without Toll Saver, the VPS will always answer the call 
and therefore he or she will incur toll charges. With Toll Saver, the VPS can let him or her know that 
there are no new messages without answering his or her call.

Two-way Record

(Available with APT/DPT Integration only.) Allows a subscriber to record a conversation into his or her 
mailbox.

Two-way Transfer

(Available with APT/DPT Integration only.) Allows a subscriber to record a conversation into another 
person's mailbox.

Unlimited Message Length

Allows a subscriber to record two-way conversations of unlimited length into his or her or another 
person's mailbox (Two-way Record or Two-way Transfer). The maximum recording time for other 
messages will automatically be set to 6 min.

Urgent Message

A message specified as urgent message. When a message is recorded to send or deliver, it is 
specified as urgent, and played first before regular messages.

VM Menu

(Available with DPT Integration only.) Allows a subscriber to operate the Subscriber Service on the 
display of PT. A subscriber can access and operate each item by using a Navigator Key or Soft 
buttons.

Voice Mail

A general term used for messages recorded over the phone from one person to another.
