Conference Calling, continued:
Removing a Party from the Conference
During a conference, you can remove other parties from the
conference. However, this operation is available only during
conference calls you initiate.
● During a conference call, press [HOLD/MESSAGE].
● Press the corresponding [LINE] key for the party you want to
disconnect → OK
● Talk to the party and hang up the handset to end the call.
● Pick up the handset and talk to the remaining party. To re-
establish the conference without removing either party, press
/[CONF] after step 2 whether on-hook or off-hook.
Ending a Conference Call
To end the conference call, hang up the handset or press the
SPKR-ON button.
Call Forwarding / Do Not Disturb
You can have incoming calls automatically forwarded to another
destination. You can also have incoming calls rejected (Do Not
Disturb).
To access the FWD/DND settings:
● Press [FUNC]
● Press to select “Fwd/DND” , then press OK
● If your phone has multiple lines, press [UP] or [DOWN] to
select the desired line, then press OK
● [UP]/[DOWN]: Select the type of FWD or DND setting to
apply, then press OK
The settings are as follows:
● DND: Enable Do Not Disturb (All incoming calls are
automatically rejected.)
● Fwd (All): Enable Forward All Calls (All incoming calls are
forwarded.)
● Fwd (Busy): Enable Forward Busy (Incoming calls are
forwarded only when your extension is in use.)
● Fwd (NA): Enable Forward No answer (An incoming call
is forwarded if you do not answer the call within a certain
amount of time.)
● If a Forward setting is selected, enter a new forward
destination number, or confirm and modify a previously set
forward destination number, then press OK
Transferring Incoming Calls:
You can transfer a call to another destination (extension or
outside party). To transfer a call:
● Press [XFER/CLEAR] during a conversation.
● Dial the party you want to transfer to and press the Call icon
● Wait until the other party answers to announce the transfer.
● Press the red
Hang up icon.
Muting a Call:
You can disable the microphone or the handset to consult
privately with others in the room while listening to the other
party on the phone through the speaker or the handset.
To set/cancel: press [MUTE]
● When the Mute icon is blinking on the LCD, Mute is on.
● During Mute, even if you switch from/to speakerphone the
microphone will remain muted.
Call Logs:
Your phone maintains a log of incoming and outgoing calls.
To display the Incoming Call Log in standby mode:
● Press [LEFT ARROW]
● Press [UP]/[DOWN] until you see “Incoming Log”, then
press OK
● Use [UP]/[DOWN] to scroll through the list of calls
To display the Outgoing Call Log in standby mode:
● Press [LEFT ARROW]
● Press [UP]/[DOWN] untli you see “Outgoing Log”, then
press OK
● Use [UP]/[DOWN] to scroll through the list of calls
Conference Calling:
You can make three-party conference calls directly on your
phone. If you need to set up a conference call with four or more
parties, sign in to the StarSystem Hosted user portal, click on
your user avatar, and select “Conferencing” from the drop-down
menu.
To set up a three-party Conference Call
● Call the first party and press [FUNC] during a conversation.
● Dial the second party you want to add to the conversation
● Press [CONF] to begin the conference call
To Make a Call:
Press the green
TALK button. Listen for a dial tone,
and dial the desired number. To switch the call to the built-in
speakerphone, press the TALK button a second time.
Answering Incoming Calls:
Press the green
TALK button.
Holding a Call:
To hold the current call, press [HOLD]
To retrieve a held call on hold at your line: press [HOLD]
again.
Ending a Call:
To disconnect a call, press the red
Hang Up icon.
Answering a Second Call:
If a second call arrives during a conversation, you will hear
a call waiting tone. You can answer the second call by
disconnecting or holding the current call.
To disconnect the current call and then talk to the new party,
press the red Hang Up button, then answer the incoming call.
To hold the current call and then talk to the new party, press
[HOLD] and answer the incoming call.
Switching between two calls
When talking to one party while another party is on hold, you
can swap the calls back and forth (alternately). To alternate
between the parties leaving one party on hold temporarily:
● Press [HOLD] during a conversation.
● Dial the second party’s extension number.
● After talking to the second party, press [HOLD].
● Talk to the original party
Adjusting the Volume:
Press the up/down arrows on the navigator key during a call
to adjust the receiver volume of the handset/speakerphone/
headset.
Press up/down arrows on the navigator key when the phone
is idle to adjust the ringer volume.
