Caller ID and Calls list

Caller ID features

To ensure that the caller’s name

is displayed, make sure the full

telephone number, including the area

code is stored  in the phonebook.
If the caller’s number is stored in the

phonebook, the name assigned to it

will be displayed.
If the number is unavailable,

“UNKNOWN”

 will be displayed.

Caller Display

If subscribed to Caller ID, the caller’s

number will be displayed (provided

it is not withheld) prior to answering

the call. The display can show the 12

digits or characters of the names and

phone numbers.
To switch the screen between name

or phone number, press

L

m

R

.

If the caller’s name and number

are stored in the phonebook and a

number match is found, the caller’s

name will be displayed instead.

Calls list

The Calls list stores details of the

last 20 received calls, including the

phone number and date and time of

the call.
The caller’s details are stored in the

Calls list whether or not the call has

been answered. When the list is full,

and a new call is received, the oldest

entry will be deleted automatically.

Caller ID and Calls list

IMPORTANT

● This unit is Caller ID compatible.

To use Caller ID features, you

must subscribe to a Caller ID

service. Contact your phone

service provider for details.

● For all local and national incoming

calls, your display will show the

area code (e.g. 09 for Auckland)

or the mobile prefix (e.g. 027 for

Telecom Mobile) followed by the

caller’s telephone number. An

Auckland caller’s number will be

displayed as 09XXXXXXX. The

seven X’s represent the seven

digits of the caller’s telephone

number. A caller from a 7-digit

Telecom Mobile number will be

displayed as 027XXXXXXX. For

incoming international calls, your

display may only show “0000”. For

business users on a Centrex line,

your display will show Centrex

extension numbers in the shorter

extension number format used

within your company.

● The Caller ID information will not

be presented on incoming fax calls

if Telecom FaxAbility is used.

Using toll services from

Telecom or another company

Your telephone company may charge

you for a local call if the number

dialled has the area code prefix

included. If this is unacceptable, dial

only the 7-digit local number. Do not

dial the “0” prefix or the area code.
