Important Information

53

Splash-resistant (PS only)

The PS is designed to be splash-resistant, and meets IP64 classification for water-
protection.

You can use the PS with wet hands.
• Do not immerse in water or leave under running water.
• Keep the PS away from salt water and corrosive liquids.
• Avoid exposure to prolonged high humidity.
• Since water in the headset jack may cause damage, close the headset jack cover when

the optional headset is not in use. When the optional headset is connected, do not use
the PS with wet hands.

Note

: The PS is not splash-resistant when the optional headset is connected.

• If the PS is wet, wipe with a soft dry cloth.
• The charger is not designed to be splash-resistant. Do not place the PS on the charger

if the PS is wet.

Shock-resistant (PS only)

The PS is designed to be shock-resistant, however, it should not be thrown or stepped
on.

Dust-resistant (PS only)

The PS meets IP64 classification for dust protection.

Important Safety Instructions

When using your telephone equipment, basic safety precautions, including those below,
should always be followed to reduce the risk of fire, electric shock and injury to persons.
• Do not use the charger near water — for example, near a bathtub, washbowl, sink, etc.

Damp basements should also be avoided.

• Do not use the product in the vicinity of a gas leak to report the leak.
