7. Recording Motion Pictures
You can adjust black, which serves as the reference for images, in 31 steps. Acting as the
reference for luminance signals, black is called the master pedestal. By adjusting the
range defined as black, not only can you adjust the way black appears, but also the
luminance balance of the entire image.

Select the menu.

Rotate the rear dial or front dial to adjust the
setting.
• When not adjusting the setting, select [0].

Press [MENU/SET].
• Exit the menu after it is set.
